What does the orange icon on APTC Web site indicate?

That orange icon means that the content of icon-marked section is available through RSS Feeds. APTC provides RSS feeds for the News & Publications section of our Web site. RSS (Really Simple Syndication) delivers content directly to your computer and provides alerts when that new content is available to you. RSS will provide both a headline as well as a direct link to view the content on our Web site.

RSS is a web-based format designed for sharing web content. RSS is an acronym that stands for either “Really Simple Syndication” and/or “Rich Site Summary.” It is a new feature that many web sites offer to their frequent visitors.

Through signing up to RSS Feeds web visitors can view new items that get posted on the web site offering a RSS, as soon as those items appear without having to visit the web site itself or signing up for newsletters.

How to sign up?

An RSS Feed Reader is a necessarily tool to view any RSS Feeds. Many of them are free. Web sites that offer free Feed Readers:

Once a Reader is installed – web visitor signs up to RSS Feeds of a preferred web site by choosing a bookmark of preferred Feed Reader.
