Representative Bio
Jerome Wallach devotes his practice to the representation of property owners engaged in disputes concerning condemnation and ad valorem tax appeals. He has presented thousands of value cases to juries and administrative bodies, successfully representing clients' interests in St. Louis, Missouri, Kansas and Illinois. Jerry possesses a keen understanding of the issues involved in valuation cases and an ability to convey to judges, juries and government agencies an understanding of the issues for the benefit of his clients.
As a former Assistant Attorney General and Special Assistant Attorney General for the State of Missouri, Jerry honed his skills in communicating complex issues in terms any person can readily understand. His knowledge and expertise have been recognized in the legal profession both nationally and locally by his selection for inclusion in Woodward/White's list of Best Lawyers in America, and St. Louis Magazine's Best Lawyers in St. Louis.
On numerous occasions, Jerry's expertise has been called upon to assist in drafting legislation regarding ad valorem taxes and condemnation. He is also a much requested speaker at professional seminars and law schools, teaching such topics as valuation principles and procedures in condemnation cases and ad valorem tax regulations and practices. Appraisal organizations, too, ask Jerry to speak about methods of presenting appraisal concepts to juries and administrative tribunals.
Jerry frequently authors articles in local and national real estate and legal publications concerning valuation concepts and has written several sections of the forthcoming Missouri Bar Association CLE handbook on Eminent Domain. He is a two-time past chairman of the Eminent Domain Committee of the Missouri Bar Association and both he and his firm are AV rated by Martindale Hubbell. For more than 10 years, Jerry has represented his firm as a Board member of the American Property Tax Counsel, the national affiliation of property tax attorneys.
Jerry received his B.A. from the University of Missouri and his J.D. from the University of Missouri Law School.
