Firm Information
Property Tax Law Group, LLC is a boutique law firm specializing in local tax controversy and planning work in Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska. We have over 100 years of experience in addressing state and local tax issues including real and personal property taxes, sales/use taxes and state income taxes. Our team has a thorough understanding of state and local tax law, formal and informal tax procedures as well as the administrative and judicial appeals process. We combine sophisticated legal analysis with a practical approach to problem-solving to achieve effective and efficient results for our clients.
Our clients range from those with multi-million dollar property holdings to those with more modest holdings. We provide all clients, large or small, the same level of detailed service, from initial evaluation and identification of the issues, through the appellate process. Because of our success in achieving results for our clients, the American Property Tax Counsel has named us the professional representative for Kansas and Nebraska.
It can be a real challenge to control the expenses related to the occupation and ownership of real estate, particularly the expense of property taxation. Reduction of your property's valuation is our focus. We have achieved reductions in all types of properties including malls, anchors, corporate headquarters, hotels, manufacturing, special use properties, industrial, big-box and restaurants.
We evaluate our client's property tax matters from the first day we are engaged. We analyze the valuation of property and identify the issues. We represent clients from the initial informal conference with the county through the Court of Tax Appeals and, when necessary, through the appellate process.
