Representative Bio Paul represents clients in litigation relating to property tax appeals, eminent domain, real estate disputes, commercial landlord-tenant disputes, and construction cases. He is experienced in litigating cases in state and federal court, as well as in private arbitrations. Paul’s tax practice focuses on property tax appeal litigation, specializing in industrial, commercial, and centrally assessed properties before the Oregon Tax Court. He is the Oregon representative for the American Property Tax Counsel, the national affiliation of property tax attorneys, and is a member of the Oregon State Bar Tax Section. Paul represents property owners and local government in eminent domain actions. His eminent domain practice has included assisting local governments in all phases of the eminent domain process to ensure compliance with the Condemnation Procedures Act and appropriate federal regulations. He also represents individuals and companies in condemnation litigation, assuring they receive just compensation for their property. Paul serves as an Executive Committee Member of the Oregon State Bar Real Estate and Land Use Section. Paul has been recognized by his peers as one of the Best Lawyers® in Eminent Domain and Condemnation Law, Litigation – Real Estate, and Litigation – Securities.
